01What moves and what stays

Moves

The public-facing pages. Front-end code is the design, and it travels with the export.

Swapped

Database-backed contact forms become the hosted form endpoint.

Stays behind

Lovable auth and database features. Application features need an application platform.

02What moves, what stays

New here? Start at the pillar page for the full picture.

The pages visitors see export and deploy cleanly. Lovable database and authentication features do not, because a static host serves pages and those are application features. Plenty of Lovable projects turn out to be pages with a little client-side logic, and those move wholesale. The test is in the static boundary page: if the site reads, it moves. If it computes, that part stays behind or moves to a service.

03The hand-off

Lovable exports to GitHub. Push the project to your own repository, connect it here, and deploys follow pushes from then on. If the project needs trimming, your coding agent does it the same way it would for a v0 export. Deploy to the preview address, click through, then point the domain.

04Why people move

Not dissatisfaction with the builder. It is the convergence problem: editing, hosting, domain and billing all inside one tool means every decision is that tool decision. Owning the repository splits them. Keep building in Lovable if it connects to the same repository, or hand the code to any other agent. The site serves from LoomWeb either way, on your domain, and nobody can regenerate it out from under you.

05Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still edit in Lovable after moving?

If it connects to the same repository, yes, and pushes still deploy here. The host does not know or care which agent made the change.

My site used the Lovable database for a contact form. What now?

Replace it with the hosted contact endpoint that ships with your site. For most projects, that was the only backend in use anyway.

Does the design survive the export?

The front-end code is the design, and it moves with the export. Deploy to the preview address and click through every page before pointing DNS.
