01Why Codex and this host fit
New here? Start at the pillar page for the full picture.
Codex clones, edits, commits and pushes to repositories you own. LoomWeb connects to a repository you own and deploys each push. There is no integration to build because the two already share a language. Signup provisions the repository, seeds it with a working starter if it is brand new, and after that Codex keeps working exactly as it does, with live publishing attached.
02The working loop
Sign up and connect GitHub
The repository and hosting are provisioned, seeded with a working starter.
Codex clones and builds
It works the way it always does, in a repository you own.
You approve, Codex pushes
Each push to main deploys to live in seconds.
Wrong change? Roll back.
Deployment history makes any previous state one click away.
03The long-term failure mode this prevents
Agent-built sites drift. Three unreviewed quick edits later, nobody can explain what the site contains. Deployment history is the antidote: every push is a named, restorable state. A change that turned out wrong does not become archaeology, it becomes a rollback. And because the host is static, nothing in what Codex produces can age: no framework updates, no runtime patches, no dependency rot between visits.
04Working with branches
If you would rather review before things go live, have Codex work on a branch and merge to main when you are satisfied. Deployments follow main. That is the whole governance model, and it is enough for most sites.
05Frequently Asked Questions
Does Codex need deploy credentials from LoomWeb?
No. It pushes with the GitHub access it already has. We watch the repository from the other side and never touch the agent.
What if it pushes half-finished work?
It goes live like any push, which is why rollback exists and takes one click. Branch-then-merge is the alternative if that worries you.
Several sites, one Codex?
Yes. Each site is its own repository and Codex moves between them like any other projects.
