01What Bolt produces, and what deploys

New here? Start at the pillar page for the full picture.

Most Bolt.new output is front-end: pages, styling and client-side logic, which deploys to managed static hosting directly. If the project used Bolt backend features, those are the part that stays behind or gets replaced; the static boundary is the honest test. Contact forms swap to the hosted endpoint in minutes.

02The export-to-live path

  1. Export or push to GitHub

Bolt integrates with GitHub; the project lands in your account.

  2. Connect the repository

At signup. Hosting and HTTPS are provisioned with it.

  3. Trim if needed

Backend features come out; pages and client logic stay.

  4. Preview, then domain

Click through on the loomweb.co address before pointing DNS.

03The path from sandbox to owned

Bolt integrates with GitHub, so the hand-off is: push the project to your repository, connect it at signup, deploy to the preview address, click through every page, then point DNS. After that the site does not depend on the sandbox being up, on its limits, or on regenerating a page to change a line.

04Why bother, when Bolt already hosts it

Because the sandbox hosts the building nicely and the living less so. Limits, pricing tiers and the editing model all assume you are still building. A finished site wants a host that assumes it is finished: flat cost, your own domain, deploys from any agent, and history so nothing is ever lost.

05Frequently Asked Questions

Bolt used a framework. Does that matter?

If the project builds to plain front-end files, it deploys. Have your agent run the build and commit the output; the host serves what the repository contains.

Can Bolt remain my editor afterwards?

Yes, through its GitHub integration. Pushes still deploy here. Mixing editors is fine because the repository is the single source of truth.

Any size or traffic limits?

Small sites sit far inside the plan. Pricing states what the flat fee covers, and genuinely outgrowing it is a conversation, not an overage page.
